Lhasa Hotel is located at Minzu Nan Road and to the northeast of Norbulingka. It’s about ten minutes walk to Norbulingka, ten minutes car ride to Potala, 15 minutes car ride to Jokhang Monastery, and 95 kilometers to the Airport.
General Information about the Hotel
Lhasa Hotel, the former Lhasa Holiday Inn (1986-1997), is one of the best and the most luxurious hotels in Tibet. It is an international standard four-star hotel.
The hotel facilities include coffee shop, banquet rooms, lobby bar, disco, swimming pool, business center, clinic and a range of restaurants. It provides 24-hour hot water. The hotel has 468 guestrooms of different styles.
The five restaurants can provide western food and Chinese food. You can enjoy buffet, Sichuan cuisine, Canton cuisine, Huaiyang cuisine and the local Tibetan cuisine. Multi-function hall can be used to hold cocktail party, ball, banquet and conference.

1. There are many stalls to the left of the hotel selling Tibetan handicrafts. You can get bank service in the nearby Construction Bank and Bank of China. It’s only 10-minute walk to Lhasa Snacks Street, Western Outskirts Bus Station, Norbulingka and Lhasa Museum. Lhasa River is also within easy reach.
2. In July and August, you can hardly find any vacancy in the hotels in Lhasa. You’d better book your room in advance.
